I've done that with my HS buddy the now fundamentalist barnstorming tent revival preacher and the aunt who talks about nothing but Farmville. Blocking Farmville wasn't enough- she mentions it in every update. Blocking a 2nd-degree connection, though - not possible. It'd be a nice feature.
