La Colina Y El Mango is a non profit farming cooperative in Patillas Puerto Rico. We are hoping to have an unofficial WWOOF communal camping festival in January 2009 to help get our infrastructure established. Come share our carribean mountain getaway, far up in a lush vally. Bring your tent and a friend and come help ...us get the farm going.

Our 14 hectare farm with a frontage and irrigation license to the Severn River
has been lying fallow for 23 years. We established a large B&B complex with
organic garden, starting 17 years ago. We have been wwoof hosts since 2000. Due
to age it is hard for us to continue managing such a business with only the help
of w ...woofers. It is difficult to find a buyer with enough money to purchase such
a venture. I'm floating the idea and looking for interested parties to join us
on this property. I would need 4 couples able to put up $200,00.00 to buy into
the business plus another $100,000.00 to establish working capital. There would
then be 5 couples, counting us, to operate the farm in a biodiverse manner to
become self-sufficient. Each couple would have a personal apartment, plus a
bedroom in the main house for older children, and use of communal kitchen,
dining room and living areas. You can contact me at helwig@halenet.com.au
