"The holidays are coming, holidays are coming...repeat to end etc!"
Love that ad! Wow, so Crimbo is nearly here..gulp! How's your shopping going? More importantly, how was your Christmas party?!
So I have to say congratulations to Joe, on winning X Factor. I predicted he'd win on the first day I met him. I noticed a gl ...immer of star quality hidden beneath a layer of nerves and anxiety when I first interviewed him backstage at the show. He dropped in to 95.8 Capital FM yesterday, so it was good to interview him as the winner! Will he get to No.1 though is the big question!? Sunday should be interesting!
I've also been really lucky in the past week, to speak to some of the big stars from the big Christmas movies. It's been surreal to be honest! I met Guy Ritchie and the cast of Sherlock Holmes yesterday and watched the movie on Sunday. Have to say, that I loved the film! Expect a respectful 21st Century take, on a classic 19th Century tale. Robert Downey-Jnr is fantastic as Holmes and Jude Law is equally impressive as Watson as is Mark Strong, as the evil Lord Blackwood. It's probably the best film this Christmas, although I am yet to see Alvin and the Chipmunks 2!
James Cameron's epic, Avatar is opening this weekend and last week I was SO lucky to speak to Sigourney Weaver, Sam Worthington and James Cameron ( and the entire cast ) and Cameron told me he wants girls to go see the film. I also caught up with Leona Lewis on Saturday, who loved being part of the movie and today secured a Golden Globe nomination for her Avatar theme song I Will See You. I'd say I liked and admired Avatar, as opposed to loved it. Be interested to hear what you think? Visually it's stunning, by the way and the 3D is amazing...! Rob Marshall's new musical film, Nine is also a visual feast and it was cool to speak to Kate Hudson, Nicole Kidman, Daniel Day Lewis and Dame Judi Dench. She told me she wants to be in the next Black eyed Peas video!
Oh and finally, last Friday, I spoke to Sarah Harding, Rupert Everett and Celia Imrie about St Trinians 2: the legend of Fritton's Gold! No, I didn't wear my school uniform, by the way. I have to give credit to David Tennant as he's brilliant in it! Oh and I should be seeing the Xmas Doctor Who special in 2 days, but I wouldn't dare tell you what happens...?!
My interview with David Tennant will go online later this week btw.
Oh and I forgot to say- Hugh Grant and Sarah Jessica-Parker star in " Did you hear about the Morgans," opening early January. They were also great to meet and interview. Alas, the movie isn't the greatest you'll see this year...or next for that matter, but hey it's a good fun film, for a long boring, Winter night etc
I'll stop name dropping now.
Can I plug my show instead- my final Total Access with Barclycard Unwind airs this Sunday 20th 7pm on 95.8 Capital FM. Your chance to win a trip to NY to see Lady GaGa is online now and you can hear from Leona, cast of St Trinians and more stars!

Oh and yes, that was me on Five's Live at 5 last week and Sky News last Sunday debating X Factor..!
Chat next week. Final question; Um, what happened to 2009..?!

The sun is shining at last! Although, I think I need to re-watch some classic John Hughes movies, after his untimely death. If you've never seen Ferris Bueller's Day Off or The Breakfast Club, then do so! You've probably already seen Home Alone?...
