Like almost everone else on here who uses a mac (or Linux for that matter) then line 6 is a dead end option for any kind of stable platform.
The advise is to sell up and migrate to another company who offer stabilty, quality and performance.
Line 6 are treading on very thin ice by still selling equipment ... as mac compatable as it is obviously not.I would suggest than all mac owners leave there feelings on this forum and cc a copy to the above link. See y'all on ebay!

Gary Green Frazefast : My new Imac is now crashing every time. Both my macs are running Ableton 7 and like everyone else out there (whether were talking about cars, washing machines or in this case Line 6 gear) we all require 'realiability' firstly and foremostly. It's not to much to ask is it? To be honest reading through the 'L ...ines' (no pun intended) I can see no comitment from Line 6 to it's mac using customer base whatsoever to provide a definitive fix. Just lame patches with sloppy programing.I was looking to upgrade again this week to the X3 live (I almost bought the X3 pro rack last week as a belated Christmas present to myself ..phew! what a let off that was.) but it now looks like it's off to the compitition and a cash loss on my existing gear via ebay. It just beggars belief how Line 6 watched all of Apples marketing force getting behind Snow Leopard and not bothering there arse in getting stable software updates written and out there with almost eveyone else. Un-frigging believable!

Brad Baker How much better of a clean tone, and overall tone does the Spider IV put out and how much better is the new FBV Shortboard MkII compared to the (original) FBV Shortboard? I've got a Spider III 75W and I'm not satisfied with the clean tone and I'm selling my FBV Shortboard with my Vetta II (value adding). Looking to p ...ick up a FBV Shortboard MkII with the sale proceeds and maybe trade in my Spider III for a IV.
