Theres been a terrible drought in Australia they say there are some kids out west who have never seen rain. One of our biggest rivers, the Murray-Darling, now runs backwards from the sea. On our farm, we dont have mains water and rely completely on rainwater and a spring-fed dam. Wed had no rain for months and were running out of water when I saw a film on climate change. It had a huge impact on me and so I wrote Woke Up. The song is a vision of the future, of a world where so much we take for granted is gone. At some point, the future will become a real present moment and well be asking, what do we do now?
