Khensur Rinpoche, a highly respected Tibetan Buddhist Lama, has been teaching Buddhism for over 60 years. Rinpoche began studying Buddhism in Tibet and received the highest degree of Lharampa Geshe after over 20 years of rigorous study!
His achievements have included being asked by the Dalai Lama to recite the Kangur (a ...ll the Buddha's scriptures - 108 volumes) to an audience in Dharamsala India. A feat that occurs about once a generation and usually takes about 6 months.
Following this, the Dalai Lama appointed Rinpoche as abbot of one of the largest Tibetan Monasteries in South India with almost 5,000 monks - Sera Monastery.
Rinpoche began teaching Buddhism to Westerners in the early 80's and has been noted for his kind, gentle and warm approach when teaching.
We are very fortunate to have such a highly qualified authentic Buddhist Teacher here with us in Adelaide.

We in the west are extremely lucky to have a Buddhist Teacher of this calibre (especially in Adelaide!) with us teaching Buddhist meditation and philosophy. He teaches with great compassion and great wisdom to whomever decides to come to his teaching and listen. It is ...well worth considering coming and listening to Khensur Rinpoche at least once to get an understanding or a real taste of what Buddhism is. Teachings occur every Wednesday night starting at 7pm. Each teaching is followed by Chai and nibbles afterwards. By donation.
