He suffered pneumonia this year and further related health complications means that Steve is under strict orders from doctors to rest until he has fully recovered. DJ Steve Lawler Steve Lawler has been nominated for 2 awards in this year’s 'Best of British DJ Awards' Nominations are for 'Best DJ’ and ‘Best Remix’ for his genius reinvention of Radio Slave’s ‘Koma Koma' It’s been a stellar year for Steve, he was nominated as Best Ibiza DJ at the DJ Awards in Ibiza, remixed the likes of Bat for Las ...hes, made a studio on a tour bus, released a plethora of original productions; he even complied and gave away a special VIVa Music compilation in association with our friends at We Love as a thank you to the people on the dance floor. His VIVa Music concept is also sky-rocketing; growing from its original digital label it now encompasses a DJ agency and publishing house. VIVa highlights in 2009 include resident parties in London, Moscow and Toronto (where he has been championing new VIVa talent including Leon and Dragosh.) As well as taking over arenas at Romania’s Sunwaves Festival and Dance Valley in Holland. Steve’s awesome solo shows included an unforgettable set in SW4 and his landmark residency at We Love…Sunday’s at Space in Ibiza.
