How do I run Item Analyzer?

You must be in an unframed Mafia Wars window or tab. Within this window or tab, navigate to your Mafia Wars profile page by clicking on "Profile" in Mafia Wars.

Right-click the link at the Dirty Martini's Mafia Tools website that says "Item Analyzer" and choose copy link address. After the link address has been copied, paste it into the address bar of the unframed Mafia Wars window or tab.

How do I install the Item Analyzer as a bookmark?

Create a bookmark of any random webpage. Put this bookmark where you would like the Item Analyzer to go. Right-click on this bookmark and choose edit. In the field for the URL, paste the link address you obtained when you right-clicked on Item Analyzer at the Dirty Martini Tools website. You can also edit the name of the bookmark to a name of your choice.

When I unframe, or click on the loot link in the red box in Item Analyzer, or do anything else that might pop open an unframed Mafia Wars window or tab, my browser window starts shrinking and doesn't stop. What is wrong?

There is a timer contained within the Mafia Wars source that tries to resize the browser window. When Mafia Wars is being run in an unframed state, which is not how Zynga really intended it to be run, this timer gets confused. There is nothing we bookmarklet developers can do to prevent the initial shrinking. However, you can stop the shrinking once it has started. (Also note, whether it happens or not depends on where the timer is in its count, so it is an intermittent problem.)

To stop the shrinking as it is happening, run the Unframe_MW-beta bookmarklet, the Item Analyzer bookmarklet, or the ScrollMW bookmarklet in the newly unframed Mafia Wars window or tab before it shrinks too small to be able to access anything to run the bookmarklet. This will stop the shrinking and then you will be able to resize the window.
