At the trendy Opera and Crimson clubs in the heart of Hollywood, it looked like a typical hot-stylish Hollywood scene. Close to 1,000 singles dressed to impress celebrated Christmas Eve.

Guardians of the Los Angeles Jewish Home for the Aging
Founded in 2000, the annual Walk of Ages is a family-oriented event that raises much-needed funds for the Jewish Home. Walkers and runners of all ages collect donations from sponsors for this fun event. The throngs of participants include infants and toddlers in strollers, elderly Jewish Home senior residents and every ...thing in between. In some cases, entire families run or walk together and many of the event sponsors also send teams. All participants are urged to obtain donations, form teams and check with their employers to see if a Matching Gifts Program is in place to maximize the dollars raised in support of the hundreds of seniors in need who are cared for by the Jewish Home.
All participants receive top quality t-shirts and medals are awarded to all children and seniors who finish the course, as well as to the top competitive finishers in all age divisions. Opportunities to become involved with the Walk of Ages X include joining the planning committee, creating a team or just coming out to walk, run or cheer on the participants at one of the largest 5k walk/runs in our city.

50% of the proceeds will go to The Guardians! Come out and have some fun and help us raise some money for The LA Jewish Home! Over 600,000 Jews live in Los Angeles. But there is only one Home that offers kosher food, a warm Jewish environment and Jewish holiday celebrations for our elderly, no matter what their financial situation. Each year, nearly 1,000 frail seniors are fortunate enough to have a wonderful place to call “Home.”

Guardians of the Los Angeles Jewish Home for the Aging
This is the Young Men’s Division's monthly meeting where we discuss and plan upcoming events, brainstorm new ideas and hang out.
The highlight of this meeting will be installing the 2010 board. Additionally, we will be discussing the December 24th "The Ball" event and March Madness Poker.
If you haven't been to a meetin ...g, they are great places to meet other actively involved members, learn more about the organization, and explore getting more involved. You do not need to be a paid/active member to attend a meeting. In fact, we encourage people to check at least 1 meeting and 1 event out before committing to joining so that you can see what you think.
Dinner is served and a friendly game of poker will follow if you want to stick around.

Free priority admission for all 2009 paid Guardians members with their membership cards! $10 donation/entrance for all non-members, which goes directly to The Guardians of the LA Jewish Home for the Aging ....
Memberships are available in advance or at the door if you want to avoid the line!
COME EARLY! There are free hosted apps from 7:00-8:00pm and and we expect to sell out as we did at our last two events (the Summer Mixer @ the W and the Summer Party @ the Shangri La)!!
