Minos Papas The 3rd Annual New York Greek Film Festival 2009 is seeking films by Greek or Greek American filmmakers for a program of short films. We are looking to submit to nine film festivals for the 2010 festival season. Submission deadlines range from September 2009 to May 2010. This is not a guarentee that we will be invited to perform in every festival, we are just looking to submit to nine in order to get the word out.

The Wave is a live cinematic performance which uses the first-hand accounts of Athens immigrants as its raw material.
A series of interviews with economic immigrants and political refugees records the psychology of residence in the non-place of immigration.
A journey through borders, identities and geographical space which outlines a community of “non citizens” in search of the “imaginary state” that will allow them to settle down. The Wave is a narrative of homelands that are endlessly on the move.
