Dear Friends/ Queridos Amigos,
As
most of you know, I am a Board member of Qualitas of Life Foundation, a
not-for-profit organization that provides financial education to
Hispanic immigrants in New York. The program teaches participants from
this community to use the available resources to improve their personal
finances a ...nd to provide more opportunities for their families.
Since
it's inception a year ago, Qualitas has provided it's services (at no
cost) to over 350 participants. We have witnessed many success stories
of workshop graduates starting their own businesses, women having a
greater role in their family's finances, and disfranchised individuals
feeling empowered with renewed hopes, opportunities, and financial
objectives for themselves and their families. A great success!
As part of our annual campaign, we have decided to hold a Run for
Qualitas on October 24th and I have made a commitment to run 5K to
raise funds to sponsor 15 Hispanic immigrants to attend our 12-week
program. I am hoping you will support Qualitas' mission through
sponsoring me and helping me reach my goal.
