Paul Zed, the Liberal candidate in Saint John in the Oct. 14 federal election, and Shelley Rynehart have made a wager that one will better the other as the pair, along with a number of other city notables, takes part in the Saint John YMCA-YWCA’s Celebrity Wellness Challenge.

A group of politicians looks over the Hazen Creek sewage treatment plant on Red Head Road Tuesday. C ...ourt was updating Graham on the harbour cleanup project. This plant was opened in 1979 and processes 6.8 million litres of raw sewage a day. It will be replaced with a new one on the same site in about two years. The new plant will process 45.5 million litres of sewage a day and will divert it from being dumped into the harbour.

Historic investment has brought harbour cleanup, more affordable housing, a new medical school, greater transit and airline service, and a new la ...bour agreement to address training and skills development to help more Saint Johners achieve success in their careers.
We have had many successes, but there is still a lot of work to do.
Affordable housing remains an important challenge, ensuring the safety of our water system, building recreation facilities that will allow our young people to live balanced, healthy lifestyles.
We have been successful because we have worked together as a team, to build a better community.
