Sergei Prokofiev / Серге́й Проко́фьев The 2nd concerto played by S. Von Eckhardstein is also my favourite. When I was ten, I learned playing piano with Op. 65 (music for children). I really loved it at that time, but for a long time I didn't listen to Prokovief... It was in 2003 with the performance of SVE that I really rediscovered Prokofiev. Till now, it ...'s the best piece I know. It's classical music, but driven to the edge. It starts very depressive, luckely followed with a beautiful scherzo! Indeed: the last two movements are full of humour and of course ..... Russian soul!!
