Let me introduce you another development organisation that's operating in Anantapur:
Green Tree Foundation:
The Green Tree Foundation was established with the vision of
establishing a green filled society by means of massive revegetation.
The Anantapur District has been a victim of famines for many decades.
Recent drought a ...nd famine conditions led to the suicides of farmers due
to their dependence on agriculture.
Andra Pradesh is not industrialized and does not have dense forests.
With Global warming and the rapidly changing conditions in this
location, the Green Tree Foundation Society has discovered that
greenery and water are the antidote for all the evils of this damaged
environment. So, our foundation is working with the vision of
establishing a green, rich society by means of massive revegetation
through horticulture under irrigation, agroforestry, back yard
horticulture and kitchen gardens for individual needs. We are also
involved in water-harvesting activities.
Stick for India Stick for India has signed and agreement that will allow us to continue our work in Anantapur for the next ten years! thanks to everybody for trust us and share our mission!
