Hey everybody, if you have a VW and have a name for it, then lets hear it. Year and make would be a nice touch too.

The Grey Granny is a 1958 11 window Splitty which, when acquired was set up as a camper. She has been painted Grey over the original dove/gulf blue. In jest one of the guys off DSK.com.au said, when looking at pics of her musty interior as we stripped it out, "it probably smells like a Granny". It just kind of stuck.
We'll be keeping her Grey exterior as much of the dove blue underneath is missing due to past repairs and we don't have any budget right now anyway. We will be putting the Splitty Calendar logo on the side though.

George is my 1973 VW Thing. He is bright orange and no other name seemed to fit. The car is a little too boxy and rustic for a girl name yet the bright orange wasn't a very masculine color...so...George...kind of like Curious George the cartoon monkey.

My 1985 bug is called Oscar, he looks very evil, black and low and I think this name fits perfect to him. My other volkswagen is a T2a Camper, year 1968, and she's called Liese- pink and green :o)

My '75 T2 Kombi hasn't been christened (by me) yet so he/she remains without a name for the time being. The colour of the Kombi interestingly is "Wattle" which just happens to be the national flower of OZ. In fact FYI the Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, "Green and Gold" was apparrently taken from Gum leaves and Wattle flowers. I'm looking for something clever to name the Kombi any suggestions gratefully considered. Happy to link up with any VW nuts in OZ, specially any-one doing or experienced in rust repairs and panel replacement.

Cheers GRIZZ

I have a 1972 white T2 kombi camper, which I call Woger (as in "welease Woger", from The Life of Brian) ... I am another Aussie VW nut. :)
